Organizer Affiliation Disclosures

The Young Voters of Prince Edward is a strictly non-partisan group. This is a core value of our organization and something that we take very seriously. As such, we have committed ourselves to being transparent about any party affiliations of our Organizers (past and present). In the interest of being as transparent as possible, we have attempted to cover all affiliations, whether real or perceived.

All of our Organizers and Volunteers are briefed on our mission, vision, values, and Member Code of Conduct before getting involved with our organization and understand that, when they are participating in the activities and efforts of the Young Voters of Prince Edward Island, they are strictly prohibited from promoting one party over another or otherwise acting in a manner which could be perceived as partisan-motivated. The party affiliations of our Organizers (or lack thereof) are listed below.


Alexander O'Neill:

  • No past or current provincial or federal party memberships

Alyssa MacKinnon:

  • Formerly an employee of Premier Wade MacLauchlan
  • Past President of the Prince Edward Island Young Liberals

Chelsea Perry:

  • Held a family membership with the PEIPC party until January 2019
  • Volunteer with the PEIPC party in the 2019 election
  • Currently holds no federal or provincial party memberships
  • Current employee of the Government Members Office

Gabe Carter-Caseley:

  • Pre-voting age membership chair for the Young Greens of Prince Edward Island

Jason Hogan:

  • No past or current provincial or federal party memberships.

Oliver Batchilder:

  • Former volunteer with PEI PC Party. 
  • Current volunteer with Green Party of Canada on Anna Keenan's campaign in the Malpeque riding.

Ronnie McPhee:

  • Formerly the Executive Director of the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party
  • Formerly employed by the Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal Party (Field)
  • Formerly employed by the Nova Scotia Liberal Party (Field)
  • Formerly a volunteer with the Nova Scotia Liberal Party and the Liberal Party of Canada
  • Currently holds no federal or provincial party memberships

Sarah Donald:

  • Current president of the Young Greens of PEI
  • Community Liaison Officer for the Office of the Official Opposition
  • Formerly a member of the Manitoba and federal NDP (2013-2015)
  • No current federal party memberships

Taya Nabuurs:

  • No past or current provincial or federal party memberships
